四季 · About
Helping you catch Japan at its best — the right places, in the right season.
Shiki (四季, "the four seasons") is a travel guide built around a simple idea: in Japan, when you go matters as much as where. The cherry blossoms, the summer festivals, the autumn maples and the winter onsen each have their moment, and timing your trip to one of them turns a good visit into an unforgettable one.
We publish practical, honest seasonal guides — what's happening each season, where to see it, and how to plan around the weather and the crowds. No filler, no invented details: just useful advice for independent travellers.
Every guide is checked for accuracy before it goes live — we'd rather publish one genuinely useful article than a dozen thin ones. We focus on real places, real timing, and the kind of advice we'd give a friend planning their first trip.
Shiki is an independent project, not connected to any official tourism body. Photography is sourced from Unsplash. Found something out of date? Let us know — we'd genuinely like to fix it.
